Synchrony Financial Global Front Line Managers assembled the bicycles and donated the bikes to children in need

Synchrony Financial (NYSE:SYF), a premier consumer financial services company with an 80-year heritage, today donated specially-assembled bicycles to children served by Don Bosco Navajeevan. The bikes were assembled by Synchrony Financial front line managers as part of their “Build and Serve” event during the company’s Front Line Leadership Conference (FLC) in Hyderabad. Don Bosco Navajeevan works toward the rehabilitation of children and youth living on the streets and provides primary education for children who are living in the area’s slums and construction sites.

“Build and Serve” aligns with Synchrony Financial’s Corporate Citizenship program, addressing the needs of today’s diverse working families by supporting housing, children and economic security initiatives. During the team-building activity, frontline managers were divided into 34 teams and each team was given the task to assemble a bicycle from scratch with limited instructions, time and tools. Once completed, all 34 assembled bicycles were thoroughly checked for safety and presented to the underprivileged kids of Don Bosco Navajeevan. The children’s eyes lit up with joy and excitement and they were thrilled to receive the swanky bikes.

Synchrony Financial’s FLC was attended by more than 250 global front line managers along with more than 15 senior leaders, including Chief Operating Officer Mr. Kurt Grossheim, who participated in various team-building and community welfare activities. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Grossheim said, “Synchrony Financial strongly supports activities that benefit and positively impact the communities in which we have a presence. It is our privilege to support the children of Don Bosco Navajeevan, which aligns with our corporate citizenship platform Families that Work. We are also thankful to the entire front line leadership team in coming together for this important cause.”
